This is one of the best child-safe essential oil resources I have ever seen. It is easy to navigate and highly informative without rambling on and on. The appendixes, table of contents, and indexes, as well as quick reference guides in the back make this book almost as convenient as an internet search! I prefer hard copy books for reference guides and this one is fantastic. I recommend this to anyone who wants to help families with essential oils!
This book is awesome!The author really knows her stuff and has so much to offer. I love that it has the charts of dilutions for each age of child for essential oil safety on her main recipes for babies, kids of all ages. It makes whipping something up much easier during busy times of worry with illness. I just got this book and I already used it for the annual noro virus that made it's rounds here in the bay area. There was a cough suppressing chest rub blend and a air sanitizing room diffuse blend and hand sanitize blend for trying to keep the virus from spreading and bathing blends. I am sure there was more but that's all I had time to manage to make while being sick myself. I also am in love with her blog.. and I never have time to read blogs but hers has everything I need to make..My perspective: **since we live on the farm we don't have the desire to head into the city for every little product from Walmart or Target (Try not to support them). I always have my oil, essential oil kit.. instead of pharmaceuticals we keep from needing a doctor. The trick is.. be sick... stay home and take care of yourself or your family. A quick fix is not a training opportunity for your body to become stronger from the experience while getting sick and THEN GETTING BETTER NATURALLY is!Self thought: **Man.. I wish I had someone make it all for me every time I get sick....lol **
I actually really love this book it very thorough and self explanatory! It really helped my son with his bad cough that he had once I use the oils it recommended with the diffuser!
I love this book!! I highly recommend it to anyone starting with essential oils or like myself who’s used them for many many years, but just had a little one and needed some guidance.The book is beautiful, very easy to read and follow. I felt very good about taking her advice; she’s really done her homework and is very conservative when it comes to infants and oils and I appreciated that.I love the breakdown for each age and all the very helpful recipes. We are loving the baby chest rub.I highly recommend this book for any new or not new mamma!I’m planning to give three close mamma friends them as gifts!
I've followed Christina for a few years now through her blog and I have read her first book "There's Food On Your Face." She is a fountain of knowledge and passion and this book shows it.As a crunchy mother of 2, I couldn't wait for this book to come out. I love using natural ways to care for my kids, and like all moms, I want to make sure what I'm using is safe. Christina has done a fantastic job with taking the guess work out and give us busy, tired mommies easy recipes to follow. Keep up the great work!
Not impressed by this book. I bought it because I am breastfeeding and i have little ones at home. I wanted to make it easier on me to find recipies I can use, since the book says its for mama ans baby. I cannot find anything on skin care for me. It mostly refers to recipes for natural birthing when it comes to recipies for mama.
I gifted this to my wife and she LOVES it! It has easy to reference information and gives us confidence that the oils we are using with the kids are safe. We also love the quick reference to the individual oils in the back of the book which tell you what the oils are for, and what you could substitute it with if you don't have that oil. Would highly recommend
This book endorses two companies for oils, neither apply to me. So that makes me doubt the fact the book would hold any viable information
